Imagine being trapped in a dark hole with no way out, that’s how people struggling with depression describe their state. It’s a condition that can affect anyone regardless of age, gender or social status. And yet it remains one of the most misunderstood and stigmatized illnesses. There are multiple factors contributing to it and one of the most important is the lack of treatment development.
But the latest research shows how an alternative therapy called bioresonance could have a significant impact on treating one of the world’s most debilitating mental illnesses, and it’s enlightening, for sure.
Electromagnetic field, Brain waves, Bioresonance are difficult concepts, but more easily understood from an analogy. Imagine that electromagnetic fields in the brain are a symphony orchestra where each instrument plays a specific frequency to create beautiful music. Just like a wrong note can throw off the entire performance, disruptions in the electromagnetic field can lead to a cacophony of symptoms such as depression. In this scenario EEG acts like a conductor that is able to detect and measure the activity in each instrument and pinpoint any deviations or imbalances in the performance.
While using EEG in patients with Depression, in 2019 researchers from The University of Vigo – Spain, Department of Translational Neuroscience Research conducted a study and noticed that there are some wrong notes or frequency alterations in the Electromagnetic field of the brain. In fact, in “Brainwaves Oscillations as a Potential Biomarker for Major Depression Disorder Risk,” they concluded that the activity in one side of the brain is different from the activity in the other side.
To be more specific, patients exhibit alterations in their alpha and theta brain rhythms. Alpha rhythms are brain waves that are associated with a relaxed but alert state whilst theta rhythms are brain waves that are associated with deep relaxation or light sleep.
Disruptions in these brain rhythms have been linked to dysfunctions in emotional capacity which may contribute to the development and maintenance of depression.
As the saying goes “When there is smoke, there is usually fire” — the smoke is already found, but does Bioresonance have the capacity to be considered as a fire extinguisher in the future?
Bioresonance therapy aims to correct these already mentioned imbalances by emitting specific frequencies into the body that are believed to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes and restore balance to the electromagnetic field.
An even more recent study conducted in 2022 by professors of the University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Sciences and Technology in Romania, “Bioresonance, an alternative therapy for mild and moderate depression,” explained the supposed effectiveness more thoroughly, and the conclusion sounds quite promising.
They divided patients into two different groups. The first group received bioresonance treatment for five weeks while the second group received pharmacological treatment with antidepressants for the same duration. The severity of depression was assessed and it showed a statistically significant improvement for the bioresonance group compared to the medication group.
These findings suggest that bioresonance therapy may be effective in reducing the severity of depression in patients with mild to moderate episodes of recurrent depressive disorder. Relating to the analogy above, this means that bioresonance can silence wrong notes, and stimulate the right ones.
To learn more about bioresonance treatment for depression, start by consulting with licensed health practitioners who specialize in bioresonance therapy. Search for a practitioner near you through online directories such as the International Association of Bioresonance and the Bioresonance Practitioner Directory. Also, many acupuncturists are beginning to offer this technology to patients, as it’s a kind of supercharged version of what they can achieve with their slender needles. For those who prefer to read on their own, you can find online seminars on Bioresonance Therapy.
While the effectiveness of bioresonance therapy for depression is still being studied, recent research definitely shed a bright light in this long journey.
