Indonesian scholars recently completed a study by performing tests to determine how water behaves after being exposed to spiritual mantras. Their findings mirrored what water researchers have found, with mantras able to create structured water effects, as first identified by Japanese author and researcher Masaru Emoto.
Dr. Nyoman Subagia, Dr. Gusti Made Widya Sena, and Dr. Made Suta from Pascasarjana, Institut Hindu Dharma Negeri Denpasar, Indonesia, performed the study in 2019 and presented the results during the 2nd Warmadewa Research and Development Seminar, in Denpasar-Bali, Indonesia.
In this test, they used clean water directly from the ground. It is also called kelebutan. It was specifically used for spiritual activities between the Gianyar and Keramas communities. They manifest the change in the water by repeating the mantras in different languages, which leads to changes in the molecular structure of the water. Also, they tried to find the effectiveness of this for the human body’s health.
The researchers used different methods in this test, such as Gravimetric (for the measurement of the mass of water before and after the test), Soxhlet (used to extract soluble substances by heating and cooling), and Semimikrokjeldahl (used to find the protein content in the water with the help of nitrogen content).
After this test, they concluded that the quality of the water as well as the treatment completely met the health requirements.
They found that pH was at high levels, and in microbiological water quality, there was an increase of coliforms as well as total bacteria, which causes post-treatment contamination.
Also, at the end of the test, there was a hexagonal structure in the water. In addition, the vibration frequency of the water rose. This test led to more research on the benefits of sound therapy and seemed to confirm the general findings in the classic study of this discipline.
